Scholarship

ACEC Scholarship Program for Students Entering the 2020-21 Academic Year

Scholarship applications must be received at ACEC/SD headquarters no later than midnight, March 3, 2020. Email to ACECofSD@gmail.com or mail to ACEC of South Dakota, PO Box 1075, Pierre, SD 57501-1075. Applicants using a delivery service should contact the Executive Director at 605.951.1004 for an address capable of accepting deliveries.

All applications must be reviewed and approved by ACEC/SD to be eligible for the ACEC scholarships. ACEC/SD will select two General Scholoarship applications and one Specialty Scholarship application to submit to ACEC from South Dakota.

Under the auspices of ACEC’s College of Fellows, the ACEC Research and Management Foundation will award seven General Scholarships in 2019:

• ACEC Scholar of the Year Scholarship ($10,000)
• Jim Kelinfelder ACEC Scholarship ($10,000)
• The Lennox Nishimura Scholarship
• College of Fellows Scholarship ($3,000)
• a/e ProNet Scholarship ($5,000)
• Professional Liability Agents Network (PLAN) Scholarship ($5,000)
• Life/Health Trust (LHT) Scholarship ($5,000)
• Small Firm Council Scholarship ($3,000)

In addition, ACEC/RMF will award one (1) Specialty Scholarship:

• Council of American Structural Engineers (CASE) Scholarship ($2,500)

Submissions

All South Dakota scholarship applicants must submit applications through ACEC of South Dakota. Applicants must either be a resident of South Dakota or a student attending either South Dakota State University or South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
