We are the Maine Member Organization of the national ACEC which is headquartered in Washington, DC. Our membership is made up of consulting engineering firms and we exist to assist owners, principles and managers of member firms to develop successful businesses. This differentiates us from all other engineering associations and societies.
ACEC of Maine's membership is made up of consulting engineering firms located in Maine represented by their principles and/or owners. We also have Associate Members which are professional services firms not otherwise engaged in the practice of consulting engineering including providing services such as architecture, planning, testing services, etc. Our membership includes Affiliate Members which include firms the provide support services such as business insurance, legal and accounting, equipment supplies, etc. For a list of all our current members please click here. The 2025 ACEC of Maine Engineering Excellence Awards entry requirements have been simplified and are slightly different than the ACEC’s national competition requirements. This simplification is intended to encourage member firms to submit to ACEC of Maine’s competition. Firms wishing to submit to ACEC’s national competition will need to complete some additional requirements and comply with those guidelines that are available online. It is anticipated that most of the effort to enter the Maine competition is transferrable to the national competition.
The ACEC of Maine Awards Committee has made every effort to make the competition fair to all firms, regardless of size or discipline. All firms are urged to submit an entry to showcase a project that they have recently completed. Participation in the program boosts staff morale, improves client relations, and assures state-wide publicity.
You may access the complete information packet here. All applications will be submitted electronically, via the ACEC of Maine EEA portal.
