The American Council of Engineering Companies of Oklahoma (ACEC OKLAHOMA) is the state trade association representing the professional, private practice consulting engineering, architectural engineering, and land surveying companies of Oklahoma. Formed in 1954, ACEC OKLAHOMA is an independent, nonprofit, voluntary business trade organization specifically concerned with the problems of operating and managing professional, private practice consulting engineering firms.
ACEC OKLAHOMA is a state member organization of the Washington, DC based American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).
The ACEC OKLAHOMA and the ACEC are the only state and national engineering organizations devoted exclusively to advancing the business interests of consulting engineering firms. While there are many technical and professional societies promoting the practice of engineering, ACEC OKLAHOMA and ACEC concentrate on the BUSINESS of design consulting.
ACEC OKLAHOMA member firms, which employ nearly 2,000 engineers, architects, land surveyors, scientists, and other specialists, are responsible for approximately $250 million worth of design for private and public works projects in Oklahoma and across the country annually. Member firms range in size from a single registered professional engineer to corporations employing hundreds of professionals.
